卡若拉冰川景區已於2024年9月暫停運營，進行環保設施升級改造，恢復開放時間需等待官方通知，暫不接受預約訂票。若未來重新開放，預計仍需在現場或通過指定平台購票，並建議關注其官方網站獲取實時信息。景區海拔高達5300米，是典型的高原冰川，遊覽時必須嚴防高原反應，提前備好氧氣瓶和高原藥物，並佩戴防曬護具。冰川地區氣溫極低、風力強勁，需穿戴專業防寒服、帽子和手套。請務必在規定的安全區域內參觀，切勿越過警示線攀爬冰川，以防冰崩或跌落危險。全程請保持環境保護意識，絕不丟棄任何垃圾，並減少噪音以避免驚擾脆弱的生態系統。由於道路可能積雪結冰，自駕者需確保車輛具備良好的防滑能力。尊重當地的文化傳統，避免對冰川及周邊地貌造成任何形式的損壞或褻瀆。

KaroLa Glacier Scenic Area has been suspended for operations since September 2024 for environmental protection facility upgrades, and the reopening date requires official announcement; no reservation or ticketing is currently available. If reopened in the future, tickets will likely be sold either on-site or through designated platforms, with real-time updates recommended via its official website. The glacier site stands at an altitude of 5,300 meters, making prevention of altitude sickness essential; prepare oxygen tanks and altitude medications in advance, and carry sun-protection gear. Temperatures are extremely low and winds are powerful at the glacier, requiring specialized cold-proof clothing, hats, and gloves. Visitors must remain within designated safe zones and never cross warning lines to climb the glacier, as doing so risks ice collapse or falls. Environmental consciousness should be maintained throughout the visit—never leave any trash behind and minimize noise to avoid disturbing the fragile ecosystem. Self-drivers should ensure vehicles are equipped with effective anti-skid capabilities as roads may be icy. 卡若拉冰川位於西藏山南市浪卡子縣與日喀則市江孜縣交界處，背靠乃欽康桑峯，是西藏三大陸型冰川之一。其獨特之處在於冰舌前緣延伸至公路僅數百米，為西藏距離公路最近的冰川，遊客可近距離觀賞藍冰、冰塔林及冰蝕地貌等景觀。該冰川因在電影《紅河谷》《雲水謠》中取景並爆破形成人為缺口而廣為人知，這一損傷加之全球氣候變化，使其成為兼具自然奇觀與生態警示意義的地標。目前，該景區因環保升級改造暫停運營，重新開放時間有待官方公布，但遊客仍可沿國道遠眺其壯麗景色。

Karo La Glacier is located at the border between Langkazi County in Shannan City and Gyangzê County in Shigatse City, Tibet, nestled beneath Mount Noijin Kangsang and recognized as one of Tibet's three major continental-type glaciers. Its distinguishing feature is that its ice tongue extends just a few hundred meters to the highway, making it the closest glacier to a roadway in Tibet. Visitors can closely observe natural phenomena such as blue ice, serac formations, and glacial erosion landscapes. Widely known due to its appearance in films like Red River Valley and The Knot, where explosives were used, creating a man-made scar, this damage combined with global climate change has turned it into a landmark symbolizing both natural wonder and ecological warning. Currently, the scenic area is temporarily closed for environmental renovation and upgrading, with the reopening date pending official announcement; however, travelers can still view its magnificent scenery from the national highway.
