瓦罕走廊是一條無需門票、無需提前預約的特殊自然與歷史文化通道，其開放通行完全受天氣與季節條件限制，僅每年6月至9月夏季可以通行，其餘時間常因大雪封山而無法進入。前往該區域遊覽的首要前提是必須持有有效的​《邊境管理區通行證》​​（邊防證），該證件需在出發前於喀什市或戶籍地公安機關辦理，並明確註明前往“塔什庫爾干縣”。遊客僅能在開放區域活動，​嚴禁以任何形式試圖接近或跨越邊境線。由於地處平均海拔4000米以上的帕米爾高原，務必提前做好高原反應防範，備足禦寒衣物、高熱量食物、飲用水及必要藥品。沿途路況複雜，多為非鋪裝路面，必須駕駛高底盤、性能可靠的四驅越野車，並建議由經驗豐富的司機駕駛。全程無補給點與穩定通訊信號，需做足物資準備並注意行車安全。請嚴格遵循環保原則，將所有垃圾帶走，保護這片脆弱而壯麗的邊境土地。

The Wakhan Corridor is a unique natural and historical-cultural passage that does not require an entrance ticket or prior reservation. Access is entirely subject to weather and seasonal conditions; it is only passable during the summer months from June to September each year and is often inaccessible at other times due to heavy snowfall blocking the mountain passes. The ​primary prerequisite​ for visiting this area is possessing a valid ​Border Area Entry Permit​ (Border Permit), which must be applied for at the public security bureau in Kashgar City or your place of household registration before departure, clearly stating the destination as "Taxkorgan County." Visitors are only permitted to move within designated open areas; ​any attempt to approach or cross the border in any form is strictly prohibited. Located on the Pamir Plateau at an average altitude exceeding 4,000 meters, it is crucial to prepare for altitude sickness in advance, packing sufficient cold-weather clothing, high-calorie food, drinking water, and essential medications. The road conditions along the route are complex, mostly consisting of unpaved surfaces. A high-clearance, reliable 4x4 off-road vehicle is mandatory, and it is advisable to have it driven by an experienced driver. There are no supply points or stable communication signals along the entire journey, necessitating thorough preparation of supplies and attention to driving safety. Please strictly adhere to environmental principles, take all trash with you, and help protect this fragile and magnificent borderland.

瓦罕走廊是位於帕米爾高原南部的一條狹長山谷，東西走向，全長約400公里，其中在中國境內長約100公里，平均海拔在4000米以上。它北依帕米爾高原，南傍興都庫什山脈，是連接中國新疆與阿富汗巴達赫尚省的唯一陸上通道，也是古絲綢之路南線的關鍵要衝。

歷史上，這條走廊是東西方文明交流的重要通道，法顯、玄奘、馬可·波羅等著名旅行家都曾途經此地。如今，這裡以壯麗的高原風光、獨特的塔吉克族文化和古老的絲綢之路遺跡吸引著遊客，適合攝影和高原徒步。需要注意的是，瓦罕走廊氣候嚴寒，年平均氣溫低於0℃，冬季大雪封山期長達數月，最佳遊覽時間為每年5月至10月。前往該地區需提前辦理邊防證，並做好應對高海拔和惡劣路況的準備。

The Wakhan Corridor is a long and narrow valley located in the southern part of the Pamir Plateau. It stretches approximately 400 kilometers in an east-west direction, with about 100 kilometers lying within Chinese territory, and has an average altitude of over 4,000 meters. Bordered by the Pamir Plateau to the north and the Hindu Kush mountains to the south, it serves as the only land passage connecting China's Xinjiang with Afghanistan's Badakhshan Province and was a crucial section of the southern branch of the ancient Silk Road.

Historically, this corridor was a significant route for cultural exchange between Eastern and Western civilizations, traversed by renowned travelers such as Faxian, Xuanzang, and Marco Polo. Today, it attracts visitors with its stunning plateau landscapes, unique Tajik culture, and ancient Silk Road relics, making it suitable for photography and high-altitude trekking. It is important to note that the Wakhan Corridor experiences a severe cold climate, with an average annual temperature below 0°C and a winter snow-blockade period lasting for several months. The best time to visit is between May and October each year. Travelers need to obtain a border permit in advance and prepare for the high altitude and challenging road conditions.
