Before visiting the Ancient City of Kucha (Kuche), please note the following important information: The site is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit and may currently be closed for conservation or only partially open. It is strongly recommended to check the latest visiting status through official channels (such as the local cultural and tourism bureau) before your trip. If access is permitted, please inquire in advance about any reservation or ticketing policies. While exploring, please respect the historical ruins—climbing, carving, or damaging the relics is strictly prohibited, and all on-site signage must be followed. As the site consists of open-air earthen structures, please bring sun protection and wind- and dust-proof gear. It is advisable to combine your visit with other nearby attractions in the Kucha area (such as the Kizil Caves and Subashi Buddhist Temple Ruins) to gain a more comprehensive understanding of Kucha culture.

龜茲古城（又稱龜孜古城）位於新疆庫車市城西的皮朗村，是漢唐時期西域都護府與安西大都護府所在地，作為絲綢之路上的軍政與文化中心，見證了中央政權對西域的治理歷程。古城殘存的皮朗墩等土墩遺跡及出土的漢唐錢幣、蓮花紋磚瓦等文物，印證了多元文化在此交融，尤以龜茲樂舞聞名，被譽為「西域樂都」。如今，這座全國重點文物保護單位雖僅存夯土城牆痕跡，仍是探尋龜茲古國輝煌歷史的核心遺址！

The Ancient City of Kucha (also known as Guzi古城) is located in Pilang Village, west of Kuqa City in Xinjiang. It served as the seat of the Western Regions Protectorate during the Han and Tang dynasties, functioning as a military, administrative, and cultural hub along the Silk Road. The site bears witness to the central government's governance of the Western Regions. Remnants such as the Pilangdun mound and artifacts like Han-Tang era coins and lotus-patterned tiles unearthed here reflect the convergence of diverse cultures. The city is particularly renowned for the Kucha music and dance, earning it the title "Western Regions Capital of Music." Today, as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit, though only traces of rammed earth walls remain, it stands as a core site for exploring the glorious history of the ancient Kucha kingdom
