When visiting the Id Kah Mosque, please note: The scenic area is open daily from 10:00 to 19:30, but entry is prohibited during prayer times from 14:00 to 16:00 and 19:00 to 20:00. Visitors must dress modestly (avoid short skirts, sleeveless tops, or revealing clothing) and maintain a quiet, solemn demeanor. Do not disturb religious activities, and photography of worshippers is not permitted without consent. As a National Key Cultural Relic Protection Unit, do not touch the architectural relics or carve on walls. It is recommended to call in advance to confirm real-time opening information. The mosque can be conveniently visited together with the nearby Kashgar Old City.
艾提尕爾清真寺位於中國新疆喀什市中心的艾提尕爾廣場西側,始建於1442年,是新疆規模最大的清真寺,佔地總面積達1.68萬平方米。作為一座具有濃郁民族風格和宗教色彩的古建築羣,其建築以伊斯蘭風格爲主,門樓高12米,兩側聳立着宣禮塔,寺內禮拜大殿由140根雕花木柱支撐,宏偉壯觀。該寺不僅是重要的宗教活動中心,每天有數千人在此禮拜,主麻日(星期五)人數可達上萬,也是喀什古城的象徵,2001年被列爲全國重點文物保護單位。每逢伊斯蘭重大節日,這裏更成爲各族穆斯林歡聚慶典的重要場所。
The Id Kah Mosque is situated west of Id Kah Square in the center of Kashgar City, Xinjiang, China. Originally built in 1442, it is the largest mosque in Xinjiang, covering a total area of 16,800 square meters. This ancient architectural complex features a strong ethnic style and religious significance. Its structure is primarily Islamic, with a 12-meter-high gate tower flanked by minarets on both sides. The main prayer hall inside the mosque is supported by 140 carved wooden pillars, presenting a magnificent spectacle. As an important center for religious activities, the mosque attracts thousands of worshippers daily, with numbers reaching over ten thousand on Jumu'ah (Friday). It is also a symbol of the ancient city of Kashgar and was designated as a National Key Cultural Relic Protection Unit in 2001. During major Islamic festivals, it becomes a significant venue for celebrations, bringing together Muslims from various ethnic groups.
