Walnut King Park generally does not require reservations, and tickets can be purchased directly at the entrance. However, it is advisable to verify the daily opening hours and ticket prices in advance through official channels or travel platforms. During the visit, special attention should be paid to the following: the millennia-old ancient tree and surrounding vegetation are precious natural heritage; do not climb the trees, break branches, or carve on the trunks. Some areas within the park, such as prayer platforms, are religious or cultural sites—please remain quiet and observe appropriate etiquette. The Hotan area experiences intense sunlight in summer, so be sure to take sun protection measures (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen) and stay hydrated. Do not litter or pour liquids around the root area of the ancient tree, and help maintain the park’s cleanliness. When taking photographs, avoid using flash directly on the ancient tree to prevent potential impact on its growth.
The Walnut King Park is located in Qialewaxi Village, Bagqi Town, Hotan County, Xinjiang. It is a national-level tourist attraction and a national agricultural tourism demonstration site centered around a millennia-old tree. The park covers a vast area, with its core attraction being an ancient walnut tree planted during the Tang Dynasty. The tree is of great age, tall and lush, with a thick trunk. Due to its antiquity, the trunk has formed a hollow "Immortal Cave" large enough to hold several people. To this day, the ancient tree remains lush and productive, yielding a large quantity of fruit annually, renowned for its thin shells and plump kernels. Not far from this tree, a smaller tree has grown from its roots, and the two trees stand together, becoming a symbolic landscape of the park. The park also features facilities such as a walnut museum, a folk custom street, and grape trellises, blending natural wonders with walnut culture. It is revered as a "sacred tree" site that witnesses the history of the Silk Road and local legends of longevity.
