前往阿拉山口口岸參觀或通行，請注意以下預定須知和遊玩注意事項。關於預定，口岸是功能性的邊境通道，​個人遊客通常無法自行進入核心查驗區參觀。計劃在限定區域（如國門廣場）觀光，​必須通過有正規資質的當地旅行社至少提前1-3個工作日進行預約、報備並辦理相關手續，由旅行社統一組織前往。若計劃經此口岸出入境，則需提前辦理有效的護照和哈薩克斯坦簽證，並自行關注兩國最新的出入境政策。關於遊玩注意事項，請您務必留意：第一，證件與安全。無論參觀還是通關，必須隨身攜帶本人有效的二代身份證原件​（中國大陸居民）或護照、簽證等出入境證件原件​（港澳台及外籍人士），全程配合邊防、海關、安檢人員的多次查驗。第二，區域與規定。請始終在旅行社安排或口岸指定的區域內活動，​嚴禁拍攝邊防檢查設施、執勤人員、工作區域及通關查驗過程。嚴禁使用無人機，嚴禁大聲喧嘩、做出危險或挑釁性舉動。請勿隨意觸碰界碑等國門設施。第三，氣候與準備。山口地區常年風大，天氣多變，冬季嚴寒，夏季紫外線強，請根據季節準備防風、防曬、防寒衣物。第四，交通與時間。口岸距離博樂市約80公里，沿途為邊境公路，請遵守交通規則。參觀行程需嚴格遵守口岸的開關時間安排，請預留充足時間。第五，特別提示。該區域屬於嚴肅的邊境管理區，請務必遵守國家法律法規，尊重邊防官兵，不得攜帶任何違禁物品。個人行為關乎國家安全與形象，請務必文明、守法。

Before visiting or passing through the Alashankou Port, please note the following booking guidelines and important notices. Regarding reservations, the port is a functional border crossing. ​Individual tourists usually cannot enter the core inspection area for visits on their own.​​ If you plan to sightsee in designated areas (such as the National Gate Square), ​you must make reservations, complete registrations, and handle the necessary procedures at least 1-3 working days in advance through a licensed local travel agency, which will then organize the visit as a group. If you plan to enter or exit China through this port, you need to obtain a valid passport and a Kazakh visa in advance and stay informed about the latest entry-exit policies of both countries. Regarding important notices for your visit, please pay close attention to the following: First, documents and safety. Whether visiting or passing through, you must carry your ​original, valid second-generation ID card​ (for Mainland Chinese residents) or ​original passport, visa, and other entry/exit documents​ (for Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and foreign nationals) with you at all times. Cooperate fully with the multiple inspections conducted by border defense, customs, and security personnel throughout the process. Second, areas and regulations. Always stay within the areas arranged by the travel agency or designated by the port. ​Photography is strictly prohibited​ of border inspection facilities, personnel on duty, working areas, and the clearance inspection process. The use of drones is prohibited, as is making loud noises or engaging in dangerous or provocative actions. Do not touch facilities like boundary markers. Third, climate and preparation. The mountain pass area is windy year-round with changeable weather. Winters are severely cold, and summers have strong UV radiation. Prepare windproof, sun-protective, and cold-weather clothing according to the season. Fourth, transportation and timing. The port is about 80 kilometers from Bole City, and the road is a border highway. Please observe traffic rules. The visiting itinerary must strictly adhere to the port's opening and closing schedule; allow ample time. Fifth, special note. This area is a serious border control zone. You must comply with national laws and regulations, respect border defense officers and soldiers, and must not carry any prohibited items. Personal conduct relates to national security and image; please ensure it is civilized and lawful.

The Alashankou Port is located in Alashankou City, Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Situated at the natural pass between the Alataw Mountains and the Barluk Mountains, it corresponds to the Dostyk Port in Kazakhstan and is one of the most important National First-Class Land Ports in northwestern China. As the western bridgehead of the Chinese section of the New Eurasian Land Bridge, it is a comprehensive port with parallel railway and highway functions, serving as a core link between China, Central Asia, and Europe under the "Belt and Road" Initiative. The port operates 24/7 throughout the year, handling the vast majority of freight traffic between China and Kazakhstan, and is a vital channel for energy (such as oil and gas), minerals, and cross-border goods. The port area features iconic structures like the grand National Gate and solemn boundary markers, showcasing the dignity of the national gateway. Although its primary functions are international logistics and clearance, with special permission or through organized tours, visitors can also engage in border sightseeing within designated areas, experiencing the unique port scenery and the bustling scene of border trade.
