Regarding reservations, the Tiemen Pass Scenic Area typically does not require advance online booking. You can purchase tickets directly at the entrance. However, if you plan to visit during holidays or peak tourist seasons, it is recommended to verify the day's opening status and visitor flow in advance through the scenic area's official inquiry phone number or local tourism platforms to avoid any impact on your itinerary due to temporary capacity restrictions or special circumstances (such as severe weather or major events). Regarding important notices for your visit, please pay close attention to the following: First, opening hours. The scenic area is open year-round, but daily operating hours may vary slightly depending on the season, typically from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. It is advisable to confirm through official channels before your trip. Second, safety and protection. The scenic area is built along the Kongque (Peacock) River Gorge. Some walkways and viewing platforms are near cliffs or water bodies. Please be very mindful of your footing while touring. Do not climb over guardrails, scale cliffs, or approach fast-flowing water. Special care should be taken to supervise elderly individuals and children in your group. Third, climate and gear. The Korla region has a dry climate and intense sunlight. Please take sun protection measures (such as applying sunscreen, wearing a sun hat and sunglasses) and carry an adequate supply of drinking water. Temperature differences between morning and evening can be significant in spring and autumn, so bringing a jacket is recommended. Wear comfortable, non-slip hiking shoes. Fourth, culture and environmental protection. Tiemen Pass is an ancient strategic pass with a long history. Please protect the cultural relics and historical sites; do not carve or write on the structures. Consciously maintain the scenic area's environment by disposing of trash in designated bins. Fifth, transportation and convenience. The scenic area is relatively close to downtown Korla, making self-driving or taking a taxi convenient. Parking lots usually charge per entry. Some attractions within the scenic area require walking between them; please plan your route and time according to your physical stamina.

鐵門關位於新疆巴音郭楞蒙古自治州庫爾勒市北郊的霍拉山與庫魯克塔格山之間，扼守孔雀河上游峽谷，是古代絲綢之路中道通往焉耆盆地的咽喉要衝，被譽為「天下最後一關」。作為中國古代二十六名關之一，其歷史可追溯至晉代，唐代設關戍守，因險峻地勢得名，玄奘、岑參、林則徐等歷史名人皆曾途經並留有詩篇。現存關樓為1989年仿唐代風格重建，景區內保留古代驛道、烽燧、將軍祠等遺跡，並依託峽谷建成水庫形成「高峽平湖」景觀。此處融合了千年戍邊文化、險峻峽谷風光與現代水利工程，成為展示絲路歷史、軍事防禦與邊疆開發的重要地標，現為國家AAAA級旅遊景區。

Tiemen Pass (Iron Gate Pass) is located between the Huola Mountains and the Kuruktag Mountains in the northern suburbs of Korla City, Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang. It commands the upper gorge of the Kongque (Peacock) River and served as the strategic throat along the central route of the ancient Silk Road leading to the Yanqi Basin, earning it the title "The Last Pass Under Heaven." As one of the Twenty-Six Famous Passes of ancient China, its history dates back to the Jin Dynasty. It was officially established as a garrisoned pass during the Tang Dynasty, named for its perilous terrain. Historical figures such as Xuanzang, Cen Shen, and Lin Zexu passed through and left poems about it. The current pass tower was reconstructed in 1989 in imitation of Tang Dynasty style. The scenic area preserves relics like ancient post roads, beacon towers, and a General's Temple. A reservoir built within the gorge creates a "calm lake amidst high gorges" landscape. Integrating a thousand years of frontier garrison culture, dramatic gorge scenery, and modern water conservancy projects, it has become an important landmark showcasing Silk Road history, military defense, and frontier development. It is currently a National AAAA-level Tourist Attraction.
