Regarding important notices for your visit, please be sure to note the following: First, Entry and Transportation. Upon entry, you must present the original valid ID document used for ticket purchase for verification. The scenic area is vast, and sightseeing within requires taking shuttle buses or boats. Please pay attention to the operating hours and last departure times (for buses/boats) at each stop to plan your itinerary reasonably. Second, Climate and Gear. The lake area has intense UV radiation and a dry climate. Summer days can be hot, so it is essential to protect yourself from the sun (sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hat) and stay hydrated. The temperature difference between day and night is significant; it is recommended to bring a light jacket for the cooler evenings. 博斯騰湖是中國最大的內陸淡水湖，位於新疆巴音郭楞蒙古自治州博湖縣境內，被譽為「西海」。它不僅是重要的生態濕地，也是國家5A級旅遊景區。湖泊水域遼闊，由大湖區和小湖區組成，大湖區煙波浩渺，擁有連綿的沙灘，被稱為「西海金沙灘」；小湖區則河道縱橫，蘆葦密布，荷花綻放，宛如江南水鄉。這裡集湖泊、濕地、沙漠景觀於一體，形成「雪山映湖、黃沙碧水、蘆葦蕩漾」的獨特風光。博斯騰湖是開都河的尾閭，也是孔雀河的源頭，具有獨特的「淡水吞吐」水文特徵。湖區生態資源豐富，擁有全國最大的野生睡蓮群和廣闊的蘆葦濕地，是眾多候鳥和水生動物的棲息地。此外，這裡還融合了深厚的西域文化和東歸文化，歷史上是絲綢之路的重要通道。遊客可以在此體驗遊船觀光、沙灘休閒、品嚐特色魚宴，感受「塞外江南」的獨特魅力。

Bosten Lake, known as the "West Sea," is the largest inland freshwater lake in China, located in Bohu County, Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang. It is not only a vital ecological wetland but also a National AAAAA Tourist Attraction. The lake's vast water area consists of the main lake zone and the small lake zone. The main lake zone is misty and expansive, with continuous sandy beaches known as the "West Sea Golden Beach." The small lake zone features crisscrossing waterways, dense reed marshes, and blooming lotus flowers, resembling the watery landscapes of southern China. This area integrates lake, wetland, and desert landscapes, creating a unique scene of "snow-capped mountains reflecting on the lake, golden sand against blue water, and swaying reeds." Bosten Lake serves as the terminus of the Kaidu River and the source of the Kongque River, exhibiting a unique "freshwater throughput" hydrological characteristic. The lake area is rich in ecological resources, boasting the largest wild water lily community and extensive reed wetlands in the country, providing habitats for numerous migratory birds and aquatic animals. Moreover, it blends profound Western Region culture and the East Return culture, having been a significant passage along the historic Silk Road. Visitors can experience boat tours, beach leisure activities, and savor the local specialty "fish feast," all while appreciating the unique charm of this "Jiangnan (South of the Yangtze) beyond the Great Wall."
