Tianshan Mysterious Grand Canyon currently does not require advance reservations; visitors can purchase tickets directly at the scenic area ticket office. While exploring, please stay on designated walkways and do not climb rock walls or enter restricted areas, as the canyon’s geological structure is fragile and prone to falling rocks. Summer is the peak season for heavy rain and flash floods, so be sure to check the local weather forecast before entering, and avoid the canyon floor during rainy or overcast conditions. The scenic area has intense sunlight and a dry climate, so bring sufficient drinking water, take sun protection measures, and wear comfortable, non-slip hiking shoes. The entire徒步 route takes about 2-3 hours to complete, so pace yourself accordingly. Lastly, do not carve on rock surfaces, and please take all trash with you to help preserve this valuable geological heritage.

The Tianshan Mysterious Grand Canyon (also known as Kizilia Grand Canyon) is situated approximately 64 kilometers north of Kuqa City in the Aksu region of Xinjiang, along the southern section of the Dushanzi-Kuqa Highway (National Highway G217). It is a typical red sandstone canyon landscape, often referred to as the "Chinese version of Antelope Canyon." The canyon stretches about 5,000 meters in length, comprising a main valley and seven branch valleys. The canyon floor is at its widest 53 meters and narrows to just 0.4 meters at its tightest point, requiring visitors to squeeze through sideways. The average altitude is 1,600 meters, with the highest peak reaching 2,048 meters. Its reddish-brown rock formations date back to the Cretaceous period, 140 million years ago, and have been shaped by eons of wind and water erosion, resulting in layered and interlocking ridges and grooves that display a brilliant rose-gold hue at dawn and dusk. The canyon features numerous natural and cultural attractions, including the Divine Dog Guarding the Valley, the Jade Maiden Spring, and the A'ai Grottoes. It has been listed among "China’s Top Ten Most Beautiful Canyons" and rated as a National AAAA-level Tourist Attraction. Visitors should note the canyon’s dry and hot conditions, requiring ample water and sun protection. An evening visit is recommended to experience the captivating play of light and shadow, and entry should be avoided during the rainy season to prevent sudden flash floods.
