No reservation is required to visit Waqie Forest of Stupas. Tickets (approximately 20 CNY) can be purchased on-site. As a sacred religious site, please maintain solemnity during your visit—do not touch or climb the stupas and prayer flags, and avoid photographing monks or specific religious rituals without permission. Due to the high altitude and intense ultraviolet radiation, sun protection and warmth are essential; move slowly to prevent altitude sickness. Refrain from littering or making loud noises within the scenic area.

Waqie Forest of Stupas is located in Waqie Town, Hongyuan County, within the Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province. It is a Tibetan Buddhist sacred site established to commemorate the Tenth Panchen Lama's scripture-chanting and blessings here. Its Tibetan name means "large tent," and the core landscape features the largest stupa complex in northwestern Sichuan, composed of one hundred and eight white stupas, along with what is renowned as Sichuan's largest "tent-style" prayer flag cluster. The flags are tall and vibrant, fluttering in the wind, creating a unique religious and cultural landmark. The site also includes elements such as stone sutra carvings, incense-burning platforms, and prayer wheels, blending grassland wetland scenery with Amdo Tibetan folk traditions. It serves as an important place for pilgrims to perform circumambulation and prayers, as well as a popular destination for photography enthusiasts capturing the beauty of Tibetan culture and nature.
