Zoigê Grassland itself is a vast open area that requires no reservation or ticket for entry. However, separate tickets are required for its core scenic spots such as Flower Lake and the First Bend of the Yellow River; it is recommended to book in advance through official platforms or travel apps. While visiting, please strictly follow designated roads or boardwalks for driving and walking, and avoid driving over the grassland or entering wetland protected areas. The grassland has an altitude of about 3,500 meters with variable weather and strong UV radiation, so be sure to prepare for sun protection, wind resistance, warmth, and prevent altitude sickness. Do not disturb wildlife such as black-necked cranes, take all trash with you, and respect the lifestyle customs of local Tibetan herders.

Zoigê Grassland is located on the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, spanning Zoigê County and Hongyuan County in the Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province, as well as parts of Gansu Province. Covering a total area of approximately 35,600 square kilometers with an average altitude of 3,500 meters, it is the world's largest alpine peat swamp wetland. As a crucial water conservation area in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, it contributes over 30% of the river's annual runoff, earning it the titles "China's Water Tower" and the "Kidney of the Earth." The grassland is renowned for its vast wetlands, winding rivers (such as the First Bend of the Yellow River), scattered lakes (e.g., Flower Lake), and rich biodiversity, serving as a primary habitat for rare species like the black-necked crane and Tibetan gazelle. Beyond its spectacular natural scenery, it preserves the unique nomadic culture of the Amdo Tibetans. In summer, the grassland is lush with water and grass and blooms with wild flowers, making it a significant component of both the national AAAA-level tourist attractions and the National Nature Reserves.
