Zhangye National Wetland Park, located in the northern suburbs of Ganzhou District, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, is a rare urban wetland in the arid northwest region, known as the national wetland park closest to the city. Covering approximately 26,000 acres, the park features meadows along the Hei River, marsh wetlands, and diverse ecosystems, with vast reed marshes, clear lakes, and rich flora and fauna—including over 100 species of wildlife such as birds, many of which are under national protection. As a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, it integrates ecological conservation,科普教育, and recreational tourism. The park offers distinct seasonal scenery: migratory birds in spring, blooming lotuses in summer, golden reeds in autumn, and serene snowscapes in winter, creating a unique "Jiangnan in the Frontier" landscape that serves both as an ecological barrier and a leisure destination.
