Reservations must be made ​1 to 7 days in advance​ via the official WeChat account ("甘肅省博物館") or the official website, with a maximum of 5 persons per booking. Children of any height require an individual reservation. Daily time slots are divided into morning (9:00-12:30) and afternoon (12:30-16:00). Upon successful booking, please arrive strictly within your reserved time slot. Entry requires presenting ​your personal reservation QR code​ and the ​original valid ID document​ (household register for children) for verification at the gate; overdue reservations will automatically expire. To avoid affecting others' booking rights, please cancel your reservation online by 15:00 on the scheduled day if your plans change. Accounts accumulating three consecutive no-shows will be blocked from making new reservations for 90 days. Maintain quiet inside the museum—no running or loud talking. 甘肃省博物馆坐落于甘肃省兰州市七里河区西津西路，是甘肃省规模较大的综合性博物馆，也是国家一级博物馆。其前身是成立的甘肃科学教育馆，博物馆建筑平面呈“山”字形，风格独特。馆藏珍贵历史文物、自然标本约八万余件（组），尤以新石器时代之冠的甘肃彩陶、汉代简牍文书、汉唐丝绸之路珍品、佛教艺术萃宝等为特色，其中铜奔马（又称“马踏飞燕”）、《驿使图》壁画砖、人头形器口彩陶瓶等均为国宝级文物。博物馆的基本陈列包括“甘肃丝绸之路文明”、“甘肃彩陶”、“甘肃古生物化石”、“庄严妙相——甘肃佛教艺术展”和“红色甘肃——走向一九四九”等，生动展现了甘肃从远古时期到近现代的历史文化脉络。该馆每周二至周日开放（停止入馆），周一闭馆（国家法定节假日除外），免费向公众开放。

The Gansu Provincial Museum is located on Xijin West Road in Qilihe District, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. It is a large comprehensive museum in Gansu and a National First-Class Museum. Its predecessor was the Gansu Science Education Museum, established in 1939. The museum building features a unique "mountain"-shaped layout. Its collection houses over eighty thousand precious historical artifacts and natural specimens, with highlights including the renowned Gansu painted pottery from the Neolithic period, Han Dynasty bamboo slips, treasures from the Han and Tang Silk Road, and Buddhist art masterpieces. Notable national treasures include the Bronze Galloping Horse (also known as "Horse Treading on a Flying Swallow"), the pictorial brick "Courier Diagram", and the Painted Pottery Bottle with Human-Head-Shaped Mouth. The museum's permanent exhibitions include "The Civilization of the Silk Road in Gansu," "Gansu Painted Pottery," "Gansu Paleontological Fossils," "Sublime Imagery: Buddhist Art in Gansu," and "Red Gansu: Marching Toward 1949," vividly presenting Gansu's historical and cultural development from ancient to modern times. It is open to the public for free from Tuesday to Sunday (last entry at 16:30) and is closed on Mondays (except for national statutory holidays).
