The Jinta Populus Euphratica Forest (Jinta Desert Populus Euphratica Forest Scenic Area) is located approximately 8 kilometers northwest of Jinta County in Jiuquan City, Gansu Province, within the Chaohu Forest Farm. It is the largest artificially cultivated Populus euphratica forest in northwestern China and a vital component of the "Three-North" Shelterbelt Program. Established through extensive ecological afforestation initiatives that began in the mid-20th century, the area now boasts a sprawling forest belt spanning tens of thousands of acres. Its defining allure lies in the unique spectacle of "clear desert waters reflecting golden Populus euphratica"—particularly around the central attraction, Jinbo Lake, where the serene lake mirrors the golden foliage of the autumn forest.
