敦煌莫高國際機場為航空運輸樞紐，​機票需通過航空公司官網、APP或其授權代理商提前預訂購買，無需針對機場本身進行「景區式」預約。乘機時請務必注意：​至少於航班起飛前2小時抵達機場辦理值機與托運手續（國際航班建議更早）；出發前請核對並攜帶購票所用的有效身份證件原件​（中國大陸居民為身份證，國際/地區航線為護照及相應簽證）；請嚴格遵守民航安全規定，​禁止攜帶易燃易爆等違禁物品，並提前確認托運行李與手提行李的尺寸、重量限制；機場為無煙場所，​嚴禁在任何室內區域吸煙；如遇航班延誤或取消，請耐心聽從機場與航空公司安排；機場提供往返市區的機場大巴，營運時間可能與航班動態掛鉤，建議提前查詢。

Dunhuang Mogao International Airport is an air transportation hub. ​Flight tickets must be booked and purchased in advance through airline official websites, apps, or their authorized agents; no “tourist attraction-style” reservation is required for the airport itself. When traveling by air, please note: ​arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before flight departure​ to complete check-in and baggage drop procedures (earlier arrival is recommended for international flights); before departure, verify and ​carry the original valid identification documents used for ticketing​ (for mainland Chinese residents, this is the ID card; for international/regional routes, a passport and corresponding visa are required); strictly comply with aviation safety regulations—prohibited items such as flammable and explosive materials are not allowed, and confirm checked and carry-on baggage size and weight limits in advance; the airport is a non-smoking facility—smoking is strictly prohibited in any indoor areas; in case of flight delays or cancellations, please patiently follow arrangements made by the airport and airline; the airport provides shuttle buses to and from the city center, with operating schedules potentially linked to flight movements, so advance inquiry is recommended.

敦煌莫高國際機場位於甘肅省敦煌市莫高鎮，距離敦煌市區約13公里，莫高窟約15公里，是一座4D級國際支線機場和國家一類航空口岸。機場於2006年完成改擴建，其航站樓設計融入了鮮明的敦煌文化元素，整體造型如舒展的「飛天」飄帶，內部裝飾以藻井、壁畫紋樣為靈感，被譽為「絲路空中門戶」。目前，機場擁有T2（國際）和T3（國內）兩座航站樓，可滿足年旅客吞吐量96萬人次的需求，已開通至北京、上海、廣州、西安、烏魯木齊等國內主要城市及「一帶一路」沿線部分國際城市的航線。作為進入敦煌及絲綢之路黃金旅遊帶的核心航空樞紐，它不僅是遊客抵達後的首個文化印象，也極大地提升了絲綢之路旅遊的可達性與便利性。

Dunhuang Mogao International Airport is located in Mogao Town, Dunhuang City, Gansu Province, approximately 13 kilometers from downtown Dunhuang and about 15 kilometers from the Mogao Grottoes. It is a 4D-class international regional airport and a national first-class aviation port. The airport completed its renovation and expansion in 2006. Its terminal design incorporates distinct Dunhuang cultural elements, with the overall structure resembling the flowing ribbons of “Feitian” (flying apsaras) and interior decorations inspired by caisson ceilings and mural patterns, earning it the title “Aerial Gateway to the Silk Road.” Currently, the airport operates two terminals: T2 (international) and T3 (domestic), capable of handling an annual passenger throughput of 960,000. It has established routes to major domestic cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi’an, and Urumqi, as well as some international cities along the Belt and Road. As the core aviation hub for accessing Dunhuang and the Golden Silk Road tourism belt, it not only serves as the first cultural impression for arriving tourists but also significantly enhances the accessibility and convenience of Silk Road travel.
