​The Nyenchen Tanglha Mountains Viewing Platform is a free attraction alongside National Highway G109, requiring no advance booking. At an altitude of about 4,640 meters, prioritize preventing altitude sickness by avoiding strenuous activity and carrying portable oxygen. The weather changes rapidly with strong winds and low temperatures; wear warm clothing like down jackets. Respect Tibetan culture by not touching mani stone piles or prayer flags. When taking photos, avoid including yaks or Tibetan mastiffs that may incur fees. A 20-30 minute stop is recommended as a rest point on the journey to Namtso Lake.
