Lake Kunggyü Co is a freely accessible nature reserve that requires no reservation or entry fee and can be visited 24/7. Situated east of Hor Township, Burang County, Ngari Prefecture, Tibet, it lies along the northern side of National Highway G219. Due to its elevation of 4,786 meters, precautions against altitude sickness are essential—avoid strenuous activity and bring oxygen, warm clothing, and sun protection. Keep a safe distance from wildlife; do not disturb or feed the animals. Much of the lakeshore is wetland, so refrain from driving onto or trampling the grassland. A four-wheel-drive vehicle is recommended for travel, as some sections are gravel roads with unstable mobile signal; download offline maps in advance. Take all trash with you upon departure to help preserve the fragile plateau ecosystem.
公珠措位於西藏阿里地區普蘭縣東部，是國道阿里南線進入阿里地區後遇到的第一個高原湖泊，被譽為"阿里門戶湖"。湖面海拔約數千米，面積遼闊，地處喜馬拉雅山脈與岡底斯山脈之間的斷陷盆地內，湖水主要依靠地表徑流補給。湖泊呈狹長形態，湖面在不同光照下呈現藍綠色至幽藍色的變幻，湖畔濕地棲息著黑頸鶴、藏野驢等珍稀動物。作為免費開放的自然景觀，公珠措與岡仁波齊、瑪旁雍措等景點共同構成阿里大環線的壯麗景觀序列。
Gunggyü Co (Kunggyutso), located in the eastern part of Burang County, Ngari Prefecture, Tibet, is the first plateau lake encountered along the national highway when entering the Ngari region from the south, earning it the nickname "Gateway Lake to Ngari". Situated in a fault basin between the Himalayan and Gangdise mountain ranges, the lake has a surface elevation of several thousand meters and covers an expansive area, primarily fed by surface runoff. Its elongated waters shift in color from blue-green to deep azure under varying light conditions, while its shoreline wetlands provide a habitat for rare animals such as the black-necked crane and Tibetan wild ass. As a freely accessible natural attraction, Gunggyü Co forms part of the spectacular scenic sequence of the Greater Ngari Circuit, which includes Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar.
