扎日南木措

Zhari Namco is a national 3A-level scenic area. Admission is currently free, and no reservation is required. Located in the northeastern part of Coqên County, Ngari Prefecture, Tibet, it is open 24/7 year-round, though summer visits are recommended. The lake surface sits at 4,613 meters, so precautions against altitude sickness are essential—avoid strenuous activity and bring oxygen, sunscreen, and warm clothing. Most roads around the lake are gravel, and a 4WD vehicle is advised. Do not drive close to the lake shore to avoid getting stuck in the wetland. Due to the high altitude and rapidly changing weather, it is best to visit between 10 AM and 5 PM. Please take all trash with you when departing, protect the fragile lakeside ecosystem, and respect nature and local culture.

扎日南木措位于西藏阿里地区措勤县境内，海拔4613米，是西藏第三大湖泊，也是国家级3A旅游景区、西藏自治区级自然保护区和国际重要湿地。湖泊面积广阔，湖水湛蓝清澈，透明度极高，是典型的高原内陆咸水湖。湖北岸的木诺山海拔5174米，是俯瞰湖泊全景的绝佳观景台，山顶可清晰观测到数十道同心环状的古代湖岸线，记录了湖泊沧桑的地质变迁。湖区生态系统完整，既是藏羚羊、藏原羚、黑颈鹤等珍稀野生动物的重要栖息地，也是紫绒山羊的优良牧场。扎日南木措以其原始纯净的高原湖光、丰富独特的野生动植物资源和极具科研价值的地质景观，构成了"一湖一山一生态"的壮美画卷，成为领略藏北自然奇观的代表性目的地。游客可沿环湖公路领略不同角度的湖景，感受这片雪域秘境带来的视觉与心灵震撼。

Zhari Namco, situated in Coqên County, Ngari Prefecture, Tibet, at an altitude of 4,613 meters, is the third-largest lake in Tibet. It is recognized as a National 3A Tourist Attraction, a Tibet Autonomous Region-level Nature Reserve, and an internationally important wetland. The lake covers an extensive area, with deep blue, remarkably clear water, making it a typical inland saltwater lake of the plateau. To the north, Munuo Mountain, standing at 5,174 meters, offers a superb vantage point for panoramic views of the lake. From its summit, dozens of concentric ancient shoreline rings are clearly visible, chronicling the lake’s profound geological evolution. The lake area supports a complete ecosystem, serving as a vital habitat for rare wildlife such as Tibetan antelopes, Tibetan gazelles, and black-necked cranes, as well as prime grazing land for purple cashmere goats. With its pristine plateau lake scenery, rich and unique flora and fauna, and geologically significant landscapes, Zhari Namco presents a majestic picture of "one lake, one mountain, one ecosystem," making it a representative destination for experiencing the natural wonders of northern Tibet. Visitors can drive along the circular lake road to enjoy the scenery from various angles, immersing themselves in the visual and spiritual awe inspired by this snowy realm.
