絨佈冰川

絨布冰川為非傳統收費景區，無需購買門票，但前往前必須在戶籍地或拉薩辦理前往定日縣的邊境地區通行證（邊防證）。從珠峰大本營前往冰川前沿的路途艱險，建議僱傭當地經驗豐富的嚮導或使用牦牛託運服務，切勿獨自冒進。冰川區域海拔高達5300米以上，需在海拔較低地區充分適應至少1-2天，嚴防急性高原反應，並備齊防寒衣物（即便是夏季也需羽絨服）、高熱量食品、保溫壺及應急氧氣。冰川表面隱蔽冰裂隙眾多，必須緊跟嚮導路線，禁止隨意攀爬冰塔或跨越不明區域。保護脆弱的高原生態，帶走全部垃圾，不破壞任何冰川結構。最佳遊覽期為5月至9月，冬季極寒且風險倍增，不建議普通遊客前往。

Rongbuk Glacier is not a conventional ticketed scenic area and requires no entrance fee. However, travelers must obtain a Border Area Entry Permit (Border Permit) for Dingri County at their place of household registration or in Lhasa before visiting. The journey from Everest Base Camp to the glacier’s edge is treacherous; it is advisable to hire experienced local guides or use yak porter services and avoid venturing alone. The glacier area exceeds 5,300 meters in altitude, requiring at least 1-2 days of full acclimatization at lower elevations to prevent acute altitude sickness. Essential preparations include cold-weather clothing (down jackets are necessary even in summer), high-calorie food, insulated flasks, and emergency oxygen. Numerous hidden crevasses lie beneath the glacier surface, so it is imperative to follow guide routes strictly and refrain from climbing ice towers or crossing unverified areas. Protect the fragile plateau ecosystem by carrying out all trash and avoiding damage to any glacial structures. The optimal visiting period is from May to September; winter brings extreme cold and heightened risks, making it unsuitable for casual tourists.

絨布冰川位於西藏日喀則市定日縣，珠穆朗瑪峰北坡海拔5300米至6300米的絨布溝內，是珠峰地區最大、最著名的複式山谷冰川。它由東絨布冰川、中絨布冰川和西絨布冰川組成，全長約22.4公里，面積達85.4平方公里，冰舌平均厚度120米，最厚處超過300米。冰川以壯觀的冰塔林為核心景觀，冰塔高聳如林，形態千姿百態，伴有冰橋、冰洞、冰蝕湖等奇景，被譽為「高山上的公園」。由於海拔極高且氣候寒冷，冰川保存完整，是研究大陸性冰川的典型樣本。目前全年開放，無需門票，但需提前辦理邊防證，且因海拔與路況複雜，建議在專業嚮導帶領下前往。

The Rongbuk Glacier is situated in the Rongbuk Valley on the northern slope of Mount Everest, within Dingri County, Shigatse, Tibet, at an altitude ranging from 5,300 to 6,300 meters. As the largest and most renowned compound valley glacier in the Everest region, it comprises the East, Middle, and West Rongbuk Glaciers, stretching approximately 22.4 kilometers in length and covering an area of 85.4 square kilometers. The glacier’s ice tongue has an average thickness of 120 meters, with the thickest sections exceeding 300 meters. It is famed for its spectacular ice serac forests, where towering ice pagodas form a mesmerizing landscape adorned with ice bridges, caves, and glacial lakes, earning it the title "Park on the High Mountains." Due to its extreme altitude and frigid climate, the glacier remains well-preserved, serving as a classic example of continental-type glaciers. It is open year-round without an entrance fee, but visitors must obtain a border permit in advance. Given the complex terrain and high elevation, it is highly recommended to explore with professional guides.
