Maquan River Wetland is not a commercial scenic area. Currently, no tickets or advance booking are required, and visitors may enter freely. However, as an important nature reserve and the source wetland of the Yarlung Zangbo River, strict protection rules must be followed during visits: Do not drive off established roads or trample meadows, and avoid picking plants or disturbing wildlife, especially rare birds like black-necked cranes and bar-headed geese. Please bring your own trash bags and take all waste with you. Located in a high-altitude wilderness area above 4,700 meters, precautions against altitude sickness, sun protection, and wind protection are essential. Bring sufficient water, food, and emergency supplies. It is recommended to travel with companions, check weather and road conditions in advance, and note that some areas may be restricted for ecological protection—please follow on-site instructions.
